Safe Toys Sold at Kumquat Art & Home

Since 1997, when Kumquat Art was founded, no merchandise that was "Made In China" has ever been for sale in this store. Some customers have been saying that we have been ahead of our time.

The philosophy has always been that "there is a reason that something is cheap" - someone, somewhere,pays the price.You can rest assured that all of the toys sold at Kumquat Art are only Made in the USA or Germany.

All of our wooden toys are painted with either vegetable dyes or non-toxic, lead-free paint. The toys we buy are made from manufacturers with high standards and they all comply with the USA child-safe requirements.

If you purchase dishes from our store, please know that they too are food-safe and are of the same high-quality as our toys. Again, we do not buy anything "Made in China". We prefer USA-made products but do offer European items such as our Christmas decorations from Germany, Swedish Ekelund linens and French Provencial soaps. However, with the cost of freight and the concerns over our planet, we are putting more and more emphasis on "Made on the West Coast!"
